Banduhurang Mine

Banduhurang Mine is the first opencast uranium mine of the country. It was commissioned in January 2009. Situated adjacent to Turamdih underground mine, the deposit contains a moderately large reserve of very low grade ore. It is a conventional opencast mine using excavator-dumper combination maintaining ore benches of 6m height. Ore produced from Banduhurang mine feeds to Turamdih mill.
